This city is rich but under constant threat of raids from the North and South. Lavant was also occupied by the forces of Mortavlon but revelled in its occupation. The garrisons of Mortavlon actually provided the city with much more benefits than you might expect. The City has vast Gemstone mines, but the City-State is constantly being raided from the south by bandits, buccaneers and the Horsemen of Sallatane as well as the mountain orcs to the north-west and the swampbeasts to the south-west. Now that Mortavlon has retreated north. The city is exposed once more. And the raiding that never stopped even when the crack troops of Mortavlon were here now have less resistance to there lightning fast raids.
