*** Surrender! ***

Catnip-munching surrender-kittens the Felini Tyranny have reportedly capitulated to the Confederacy following the declaration of war last week without even a single shot being fired.

Unofficial sources within the Confederacy have been quoted as saying the terms of the surrender include the Felini handing over practically everything but the kitchen sink throughout the entire Cluster Periphery. No, wait, check that, everything but the plugs of their kitchen sinks, as we understand General Scott has been seen leading a victory parade of FEL kitchen sinks through a major Confederate stronghold.

This has surely been an odd episode of political manoeuvring, and at its heart surely lays the offices of the Baron LiQuan, whose schemes are surely not yet resolved. We expect there to be more developments to this story.

A 4-ship patrol squadron of FLZ ran into a FELini patrol in winter, no FEL ships destroyed, two destroyers ever-so slightly damaged. There were no FLZ survivors.

"Some RCF ships ran into a larger GTT fleet in Storm

First day the GTT lost one ship while the RCF never took any damage

Just to prove that every RCF ship is a match to 3 IMP block ships they came in heavy handed for the second day

RCF losses were not light but ships saw out the second day of combat

*** FLZ On The Move ***

A fresh offensive may soon be underway in the Crusade system as a large number of FLZ ship movements have been noticed. Primarily the FLZ appear to have abandoned their blockade of Cause, and moved towards the wormhole.

After suffering during the initial stages of the Twilight operation, could the FLZ be on the verge of winning back the initiative from the Consortium?


*** RCF Offensive ***

The RCF ground offensive against Imperial forces has continued this week as several RCF units have pushed hard against IMP targets throughout Imperial-bloc space.

Three more outposts are reported to have fallen, as the RCF move ever closer to the Capellan system:

GTT Audrey Visnu T1 (35115) has fallen to the attackers.

IMP DB-95 (40576) has fallen to the attackers.

GTT Blaggard Nelson T1 (53334) has fallen to the attackers.

It has been rumoured that the recent GTT announcement of the closure of the DaWines and Dinas Dawr markets has been in direct response to the encroaching RCF threat, and that all leave has been cancelled for GTT Security Forces throughout the corporations holdings as they fear a major RCF ground assault might be in preperation.

The Imperial-bloc continue to respond with overwhelming force to all sightings of RCF warships.


*** HLQ Press Release ***

Greeting All

With so much bad press about the Hive, HLQ has decided to set up and run, in a control envioment a hive planet and production facility on Hanger 17 in the twilight system with the full cooperation the FLZ.
Wimbleville will be renamed Vespa Crabro to show its new role.

This will hopefully find out the truth about the Hive race. I refuse to believe these are the bogey "men" portrayed in childrens nightmares.

To this end all HLQ ships run by Hive will have the prefix "H" in there name.
They will also avoid the Inner Empire and Inner Confederacy until any rogue elements are controled and there behaviour can be gauranteed. They will also be useing organic hulls, which according to our research they are more comfortable with. Human officer and troops will be stationed at the bases to ensure our will is followed till the operation is finished.

In accordance with the above aims I will be shiping in Hive eggs to populate the planet.
I would also like to find a collection of organic ships designes, if accetible these can be brought or traded.
I would also like to build up a stock of heavy organic hulls Mk II and Light organic hulls.

The Krell have an outpost with 100 merch centers on a metals deposit of 152. This base should produce about 42K merch income per week and could easily be expanded to 55-60K per week. It is privately owned and might be a good starter base for anyone who wants such a base on Mobile Bay in Yank.

***** Ulysses S Scotts Blog - Biography Part 3 *****

Special Action/Starbase GTT Endings/CNF Visit/Fate of Ulysses' Father/210.14
Records at this base and in the civilian factions are fragmentary for some months after the civil war and large chunks have been deleted by the GCS.
Suffice to say prisoner records post dating the separation of the Inner Empire and Confederacy seem only to include reference codes - generally linked to indelible tags on the prisoner and criminal records that may no longer exist.
Ulysses would have to shake of his entourage and get down with the oldsters in the civilian sectors in order to find out more.

Special Action/Starbase GTT Endings/CNF Visit/Fate of Ulysses' Father/Personal Visit to Civilians/210.15
Ulysses slips out of the base on his own reconnaissance amongst the civilians of the surrounding urban sector. He thinks he has got away with it, though security is pretty tight.
After making some contacts he meets with some old people that live in fairly squalid conditions - life has not been kind to people that have had Confederate leanings.
Suffice to say, they are fairly certain that his father was captured. There were a lot of executions and not all of them in accordance with the law - it is a long way from Sol.
Scott would have been a minor figure so chances are that if he was here and captured he would have been tortured to determine if he knew anything else about guerrillas rather than being shipped back to Sol. Then he would have been shot in the head before being dumped in any one of a number of roughly known places.
Recovery of these bodies will prove difficult and identification even harder (not that the government would support this).

Investigation/Earth/Political Situation/Ulysses Scott's Father/210.15
Terran databases dating from the time of the Rebellion fail to elicit any information regarding the fate of Anderson, the father of Ulysses Scott.
There are two accounts though that may have some bearing on his fate - one is the report of a protracted guerrilla war within Tau Ceti, the other is an account of a small fleet of badly damaged ships scouted in Wolf 359. Enquires with the Tatian government indicated that they never entered orbit and nothing further was known.
One of the ships however was known to have been owned by the Scott family.

I contacted our friendly neighbourhood GM to see what his seven wonders of the game might be.

Mica: "This is a toughy for me because unlike the players I do not get to discuss the features I add to the game and as such the things I really remember tend to be anecdotal in nature.

Stargates, wormholes, large strange planetary features and peculiar aliens and legacies litter the game universe - some I can't even recall until somebody crosses their path again or follows up a lead.

The stuff that clearly sticks in my mind are events such as the Imperial orbital swimming pool construction fleet, the death of Mark Eaton, Bond at Topaz, the first ignition of a gas giant, Ivan being evicted from the remembrance service, the suicidal FET cave explorer and most recently Nastillinian adverts (plus a few X-rated scenes of first contact with natives)."

Of course needless to say these are all things I've never really heard of before. So if any readers have any further details they can share regarding Micas Seven Wonders, please do contact me so I can elaborate further.

Though it is suspected that the suicidal FET cave explorer may have been the human who made first contact with the Hive…
