First of all fill in the start-up
form. This will create a ship for you and even allow you to submit
some orders for the next day.
A new website is being developed for Phoenix and will soon replace this one.
Please also register with the Nexus site if you have not already done so. Use the recruitment code phoenix_player.
Once registered your game data will be uploaded on a daily basis.
Next familiarise yourself with the game either
by looking at the basic
ship rules online or by downloading the rules along with the editor.
While you can use the online order editor (you will be transferred directly
to this after signing up), you also have the chance to use an off-line version
of the order editor.
You can download a self-extracting zip file.
This will default unzip into the following directory:
C:\Program Files\skeletal\Phoenix
-
To find out about the new features click here .
Do
not change this as updates are designed to overwrite files using this directory
structure.
Important - this zip does not include the rulebooks, or any desktop links.
You are advised at this stage to download at least the ship rulebooks,
which are
in the rulebook section. (see
editor link)

Order Editor - Beta Version 1.4.5 - (23rd November 2005)
Make sure that you back up your current version before running this
one. Also make sure that you have deleted orders.cfg from the directory.
This new order editor has a lot of new features, including checking for updates
from the internet, thereby eliminating the need to zip files.
While we are still testing this, we believe it to be stable. Please use at
your own risk. Should you find a bug, please inform KJC
Games about it. This order editor can upload directly to the online
database cutting out the need to send an email with your turns attached.

All
downloads are compressed in a ".zip" format. You will
need a archiving program such as Winzip
to extract the files. |
